Quebec Ministry of Education subsidized Lifeguarding Certifications

Since the 2022 Fall session, lifeguarding certifications are being offered free of charge (course fee only – taxes and materials not included in the grant).

Following the announcement by the Government of Quebec in June 2022, the Direction de la sécurité dans le loisir et sport of the Quebec Ministry of Education has granted a subsidy to offer free certification training for lifeguards and swimming instructors.

The courses offered at the Centre du Sablon that are included in the grant;
Bronze Medal – Bronze Cross – General First Aid – National Lifeguard (pool).

*Registration for the 2023 Spring session is underway.
