End of the subsidy for lifesaving certifications – April 1, 2026

The government subsidy that allowed certain lifesaving certifications to be offered free of charge will end on April 1, 2026. Starting on this date, regular fees will apply to all training programs.

Courses still eligible for the subsidy until the end of the Spring 2026 session
Only the following courses, already underway or ending this spring, will remain subsidized until they are completed:

National Lifeguard (pool)
Swimming Instructor (SI)
Standard First Aid (SFA)
These courses remain covered according to the usual terms of the subsidy.
