Montreal-born instructor Michel Morissette, a jazz and jazz fusion guitarist, is a recognized professional from a Franco-Italian cultural background. His love of music began at the age of 11, when he received his first guitar. After perfecting his art at Montreal’s Frank Quinn School for 6 years, he went on to study with Mike Gauthier at McGill University, spending over 3 years there.

• Beginner: someone who has no musical knowledge or only a basic understanding of the main chords and notes.
• Intermediate: someone who can play pieces with chords and know their names, who has rhythm and can easily recognize the piece, and who is starting to do solos
• Advanced: someone who can play solos with barred chords, has a sense of rhythm and can play in several places on the guitar.
