Important Update from Centre du Sablon
As we shared on a social media post on October 2nd, Center du Sablon has been the subject of a cybersecurity incident. Based on our investigation to date, we have determined that an unauthorized party accessed our IT network on or around October 1, 2023 and that all of our servers were affected.
We believe that the information obtained by the unauthorized party is limited to your name and information you may have provided since registering as a member of Centre du Sablon specifically your email and mailing address, telephone number, date of birth, health and social insurance number, and credit card.
As a precautionary measure, we have disabled our servers and registration system, including our online registration application, and are conducting enhanced security monitoring. We would also like to inform you that law enforcement authorities have been contacted.
As you should always do, we advise Centre du Sablon members to be on the lookout for unusual e-mails or messages. You must confirm that any request to match, download, call or provide personal information is legitimate.
The security of your personal information is important to us. We regret that this incident has occurred and thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to resolve the situation.
