Life Skills (12-17 years old)

April 4th to June 13, 2024 (11 weeks)

Life skills is a social skills group for teenagers between 12 and 17 years old who are on the spectrum. This leisure activity is guided by special educators. During their time in life skills, teenagers on the spectrum will:

  • Gain hands-on life experience within a play based context (making phone calls, handling money, etc.)
  • Continue developing their social skills in group situations.
  • Explore their strengths and interests
  • Work on their confidence
  • Develop their coping and self-regulation skills
  • Find alternative ways of self-regulation
  • Give back to the community through various acts around the center

In order to register for this activity, an assessment with the teenager and their parent is mandatory. For an appointment or more information, please send an email to m.kassabian@centredusablon.com.
